Class Blog 10-1 and 10-2

Schedule
-We started the class off by taking the quiz on moles.   We worked on the quiz alone for the first 5 minutes and then worked with a partner for another 10 minutes.


-After the quiz we started on the handouts that go along with the video.


Hydrates lab write up info
-We did this lab on Monday.
-The write up will be due on Friday

B. Calculate the mass of water lost from the hydrate.
C. How many moles of water is this?  
D. Calculate them mass of anhydrous salt left behind after heating the hydrate.
E. How many moles of anhydrous salt is this?
F. Calculate the ratio of moles of water lost to moles of anhydrous salt left behind.
Round off your ratio to a whole number integer. What is the formula of the hydrate?

C. Reasoning

Homework
-Finish the handouts received in class along with the video lesson. due tomorrow.
-Study for the unit test on thursday October 3.
-The hydrates lab write up will be due Friday October 4.



10-2-13
-Today was a review day for the unit test tomorrow. Remember to study!!!

Schedule
-First we went over the homework from yesterday.  These handouts can be found on moodle.
-We got our quizzes back from yesterday, these do NOT count as a grade, it was practice to make sure we understand moles.
-We went over the beginning of the review packet.  There will be a video on moodle going over the answers to the review packet posted tonight.

-The hydrates lab is due friday, the directions can be found on moodle in the unit 1 labs and activities folder.
-The video for the unit review packet will be posted on moodle later tonight.
